Vacaville won the last time they faced Wood and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Vacaville Bulldogs walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Wood Wildcats.
 Jaiden Oldwin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Furthermore,  he didn't allow a single  earned run, the first time  he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March of 2024.

 In other pitching news,  Ethan Williams looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. He also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Vacaville is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 1-3 otherwise.
 Back at the plate,  Jimmy Mac Niven was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Diego Corneliuz was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
The  win  got Vacaville back to even at 4-4. As for Wood, their loss was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-5.
Vacaville will have a chance to go back-to-back against Wood: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
