The Buena Park Coyotes will venture away from home to take on the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Buena Park will be strutting in after a win while Wiseburn- Da Vinci will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Buena Park turned things around against Kennedy on Friday. They came out on top against the Fighting Irish by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Coyotes have posted since April 25, 2024.

Noah Sanchez looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Buena Park: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 5-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Buena Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Santillian, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Melvin Peralta also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Meanwhile, Wiseburn- Da Vinci entered their contest against El Segundo on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolves lost 18-7 to the Eagles.
Edward Sanchez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Xavier Horton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
Buena Park's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Buena Park has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wiseburn- Da Vinci struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Buena Park beat Wiseburn- Da Vinci 5-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
