The Hanover Nighthawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. Their rough 66-40 loss to Millersburg might stick with them for a while. Hanover lost against Millersburg in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-38 score last time.
Emma Miller was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 22 rebounds for Millersburg. That's the first time this season that Miller scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jana Strait, who scored eight points along with nine assists and five rebounds.
Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Millersburg, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against York County Tech at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully York County Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday. As for Millersburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Halifax at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Halifax comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
