The Boron Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 42-35 to East Bakersfield.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hailey Davis, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Yazmin Page, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Boron has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for East Bakersfield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boron will take on the Roadrunners at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Bakersfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
