Football Recap: Lakeside Skates Past Stockton with Ease + How To Watch

Lakeside had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Stockton on Friday. The Knights really took it to the Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-6 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Lakeside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Schmitt, who rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 182 yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (99 yards to be exact) went to Coby Cline, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Lakeside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Landon Baetz and Cline.

Lakeside's record is now 2-0. As for Stockton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will welcome Logan/Palco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stockton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hoxie at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
