 In other batting news, Canyon let  Blake Helsper and  Johnny Lopez loose on the outfield. Helsper  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Lopez  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Jonathon Sandoval was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 The  win  made it two in a row for Canyon and  bumps their season record up to 14-12-1. As for Brea Olinda, they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-22-1.
