After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Bishop Union, Desert was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mammoth Huskies  an   11-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Scorpions: when they faced off against the Huskies  back in April, they had to take a  18-6  defeat.
Not much got past  Landon Kizzer, who gave up just  a  hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Mammoth off the board. Kizzer has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Evan Dion, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high.  Elijah Warfield was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
