The North East Grape Pickers won the last time they faced the Corry Beavers, and things went their way on Thursday too. North East enjoyed a cozy 42-27 victory over Corry. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North East.
North East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexandra Cozzens out in front who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kayla Forsythe, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and five assists.
The win got North East back to even at 4-4. As for Corry, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
North East won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Portersville Christian at 3:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. As for Corry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eisenhower at 11:00 a.m. on January 6th.
