The Richwood Lumberjacks were the 50-43 winner over the Meadow Bridge Wildcats when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Richwood fell to Meadow Bridge 45-41.
When it comes to explaining why Richwood lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Grant Russell. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Tyler Barnhouse was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Richwood bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Meadow Bridge, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richwood is on the road again on Thursday and play against Bath County at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Meadow Bridge, they will square off against James Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully James Monroe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
