The Ferndale Yellow Jackets were the 43-19 winner over the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The team also got some help courtesy of Deajah Chatman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Ferndale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maleigha Younkin led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Younkin hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Shyanne Schur, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
