The Waynesburg Central Raiders's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against North Royalton by a score of 43-30. Given Waynesburg Central's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 93rd in Pennsylvania, while North Royalton is ranked 435th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kaley Rohanna was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Waynesburg Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Blair, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Waynesburg Central's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for North Royalton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynesburg Central and Charleroi will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Bella Carroto and Rohanna. As for North Royalton, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Wadsworth at 7:00 p.m.
