Central Bucks East relied on the efforts of Asher Green, who rushed for 82 yards and two scores on only five carries, and Hunter Pulford, who rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown. Those 82 rushing yards gave Green a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central Bucks East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 330 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Central Bucks East's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Liam Hoey: he picked up a sack and made six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Neshaminy's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 14-7 to Pennridge. The contest marked the Skins' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Central Bucks East's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Neshaminy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Central Bucks East has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 199.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Neshaminy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 181.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
