The Century Centurions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Magnolia at home and fell 97-2. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Century has scored all season.
It was another big night for Teresa Martinez, who scored 69 points for Magnolia. That makes it three consecutive games in which Martinez has scored at least a third of Magnolia's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abril Ortega, who scored ten points.
Century's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Magnolia, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Century will take on Western at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Western is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Magnolia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Savanna at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
