The Redwood Rangers were the 59-45 winner over the Centennial Golden Hawks when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Redwood lost to Centennial on the road by a decisive 45-28 margin on Friday.
Redwood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brooklyn Tayo, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, and Aryel Chavez who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds. Tayo hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Redwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Centennial, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redwood and Porterville will face off at 10:30 a.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Centennial will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Shafter at 1:30 p.m. on December 9th. One thing working in Shafter's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
