The Preuss UCSD Tritons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Olympian 63-21. While losing is never fun, Preuss UCSD can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1211th, while Olympian is ranked 238th).
It was another big night for Asia Darcuiel, who scored 22 points along with three steals for Olympian. The match was Darcuiel's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Martin, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Preuss UCSD has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Olympian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Preuss UCSD will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Helix at 3:30 p.m. on December 20th. Hopefully Helix focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Monday. Olympian will take on University City in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at. University City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
