It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Sutter Huskies ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 victory over Oroville. The team accrued 29 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Torrence Harter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Sutter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Davis, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds.
Sutter's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Oroville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Sutter will head out on the road to face off against Fairfield at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oroville, they will be playing at home against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Anderson is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
