Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dinuba). They blew past the Tulare Union Tribe 12-2 on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Emperors considering their two-run performance the game before.
Jacob Guzman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season.
