The Kenwood Broncos are taking a road trip to face off against the Taft Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenwood is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
On Monday, it was close, but Kenwood sidestepped Amundsen for a 2-1 victory.

Jace Binion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Kenwood is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shaun Vaughns, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Khaiden Thomas, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Taft was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of Warren Township by a score of 2-1.
Taft also got a good showing from Jackson Wilhelm, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Wilhelm has allowed since back in May of 2025.
At the plate, Taft saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Espinosa, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Kenwood, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kenwood has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Taft struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
