The Valencia Vikings will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Oak Park Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Valencia walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 47-27 margin over the Spartans.
Valencia found their leader in underclassman Cara McKell, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. McKell hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Keira McLaughlin, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Oak Park entered their tilt with Camarillo with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. Oak Park secured a 61-57 W over Camarillo last Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
