After six games on the road, Riverview is heading back home. They will take on the Leechburg Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Riverview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
Last Monday, Riverview came up short against Bishop Canevin and fell 54-44. Riverview has struggled against Bishop Canevin recently, as their game on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Riverview had strong showings from Lola Abraham, who scored ten points along with four steals, and Katerina Tsambis, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Tsambis continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Leechburg scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 48-11 win over Hillel Academy on the road. That 37 points margin sets a new team best for Leechburg this season.
Riverview has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-5 record this season. As for Leechburg, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Everything came up roses for Riverview against Leechburg in their previous meeting on January 2nd as the team secured a 51-22 win. Will Riverview repeat their success, or does Leechburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
