The West Covina Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by San Dimas at home and fell 54-12. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Covina in their matchups with San Dimas: they've now lost seven in a row.
San Dimas can attribute much of their success to Olivia Romero, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janessa Rodriguez, who scored nine points.
West Covina's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for San Dimas, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Covina will challenge Diamond Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Diamond Ranch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Covina in California (Diamond Ranch is ranked 450th, while West Covina is ranked 992nd). As for San Dimas, they will head out on the road to face off against Northview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Northview is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
