The Monache Marauders will head out on the road to  take on  the Bakersfield Drillers at 9:00  a.m.  on Monday. Monache is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.2  runs per game this season.
 Monache put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season  on Friday. They never let Lindsay onto the board and left with  an   18-0  win. While fans of Monache might be used to big wins, the 18-run margin marked the team's biggest  victory yet this season.
  Colton Isom made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Isom has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Isom was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Jayson Castillo was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Mathew Rivas, who  went 2-for-2 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  double.
 Meanwhile, sadly, Bakersfield is still looking for their first win of the season after 12  games. They fell just short of Highland by a score of  8-6 on Thursday.
 Monache's record now sits at 8-5. As for Bakersfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
 Monache might still be hurting after the  11-5 loss they got from Bakersfield  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2022. Can Monache avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
