David Emanuel Academy and Covenant Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Eagles will host the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. David Emanuel Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
David Emanuel Academy came out on top against Robert Toombs Christian Academy on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Crusaders. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won four in a row.

Brody Fleming made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, David Emanuel Academy got a massive performance out of Tucker Free, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Free has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Hudson Starley was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
David Emanuel Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Covenant Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Thomas Jefferson Academy.
David Emanuel Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Covenant Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Everything went David Emanuel Academy's way against Covenant Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as David Emanuel Academy made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
