Softball Recap: Newell-Fonda's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Newell-Fonda had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Southeast Valley Jaguars on Monday as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Newell-Fonda's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Southeast Valley, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Newell-Fonda will square off against rival South Central Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Southeast Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
