The Acalanes Dons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games Acalanes has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Acalanes took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Marin Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Acalanes won by a run and slipped past Marin Catholic 8-7. The Dons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Drew Asadorian, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. James Stadt was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Bishop O'Dowd waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Jaguars.
Merrit Teixeira looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Bishop O'Dowd got a massive performance out of Sebastian Ultreras, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that Ultreras launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Mullen, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Bishop O'Dowd kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Bishop O'Dowd pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Acalanes, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
