Palisade is 9-1 against Eagle Valley since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Devils at 3:00 p.m. Palisade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
Palisade was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Niwot 10-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
MacKenzie Gray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lexi Trottier, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jamyson Mancuso was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Eagle Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-2 to Durango.
Eagle Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Brueck, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Brueck's first of the season.
Palisade's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Eagle Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-2.
Eagle Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Palisade hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. It's a different story for Eagle Valley, though, as they've only averaged .245. Will they be able to contain Palisade's hitters?
Palisade took their win against Eagle Valley in their previous matchup back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
