The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Sherratt, who threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Crimson Cliffs was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 502 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springville only gained 370.
The win made it two in a row for Cedar and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Crimson Cliffs, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Friday's match might be decided in the trenches. Cedar has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 154.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Crimson Cliffs struggles in that department as they've been averaging 171. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Cedar took a serious blow against Crimson Cliffs in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, falling 56-0. Thankfully for Cedar, Steele Barben (who threw for 296 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
