Tussey Mountain is 3-0 against Mount Union since December of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Tussey Mountain Titans will welcome the Mount Union Trojans at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Tussey Mountain humbled Fannett Metal with a 51-18 victory. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Tussey Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Gabrielson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Gabrielson a new career-high. Maelee Sheeder was another key player, going 6 for 7 on her way to 14 points.
Tussey Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mount Union had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 50-39 win over the Tigers. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly 11 points.
Mount Union had a senior duo take command as Maddie Dimoff posted 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals and Cailyn Skopic scored 16 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Dimoff has scored at least a third of Mount Union's points.
Mount Union's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Tussey Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Tussey Mountain has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Mount Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
