Round Valley extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 24-3. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the St. Johns Redskins. Considering the Elks have won 18 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ryan Jaramillo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
