The Portage Mustangs waltzed into Tuesday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Marion Center by a score of 49-37. For Portage, this counts as revenge for the 53-46 loss Marion Center walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Portage can attribute much of their success to Alex Chobany, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Chobany is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Cami Burkett was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Portage's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Marion Center, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Portage will take on Biglerville at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Marion Center won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ligonier Valley at 7:15 p.m. on December 6th. Hopefully Ligonier Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
