The Morgan Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Valley Regional 65-44. The win was just business as usual for Morgan, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.
Conor Quinn and Rex Grabowski certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Quinn scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Grabowski scored seven points along with nine rebounds and five blocks. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Thomas Troy was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds.
Morgan's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Valley Regional, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Coginchaug Regional the next time they take the court. Valley Regional will host Coginchaug Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Morgan will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
