Sam Corona was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Corona was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Humphreys Able Charter got a big performance out of Daniel Leon, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Leon has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Eric Baez, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Delta Charter came up short against Millennium on Friday, falling 14-2.
Delta Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Foster, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double. Nicholas Sisco was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Delta Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Humphreys Able Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Humphreys Able Charter has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Delta Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Humphreys Able Charter might still be hurting after the 17-4 defeat they got from Delta Charter when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Legacy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
