The Marysville Indians can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They put the hurt on West with a sharp 56-30 victory. The win was nothing new for Marysville as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Marysville was led to victory by Abigail Pietz and Demi Boykin. Pietz scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Boykin scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Pietz is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Krystal Briggs, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Marysville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for West, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
Marysville will head out on the road to face off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wheatland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 824th, while the Indians are ranked 168th). As for West, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
