Eastern Greene has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Barr-Reeve Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Eastern Greene suffered their biggest defeat since November 4, 2023 on Saturday. They were dealt a 54-26 defeat at the hands of Bloomington South. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastern Greene in their matchups with Bloomington South: they've now lost three in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Keylee Hudson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Barr-Reeve took a serious blow against South Knox on Thursday, falling 73-26. While losing is never fun, Barr-Reeve can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while South Knox is ranked 16th).
Eastern Greene's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Barr-Reeve, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11.
Everything went Eastern Greene's way against Barr-Reeve in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 as Eastern Greene made off with a 48-26 victory. Will Eastern Greene repeat their success, or does Barr-Reeve have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
