Brooks gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the Thornwood Thunderbirds 14-4. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Thunderbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

The team relied heavily on Kelly West, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Justin Slaughter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Brooks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thornwood only posted an OBP of .360.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Thornwood, they will head out to face off against Ogden International at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
