The Tracy Bulldogs will square off against the Liberty Lions at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
If Tracy beats Liberty with seven runs on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Tracy came out on top against Mountain House by a score of 7-3 on Thursday. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.
Dylan Giannini made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other pitching news, Jacoby Freitas tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Juan Godoy was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Malakai Jacobo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Meanwhile, Liberty was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Castro Valley. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Trojans on their field since March 4, 2015.
Josh Kelleher looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, Sean Kelly was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Rane Miller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
The win made it two in a row for Tracy and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Liberty, their record is now 4-2.
Tracy couldn't quite finish off Liberty when the teams last played back in February of 2019 and fell 2-0. Can Tracy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
