In what's become a running theme this season, the Anaheim Colonists gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-12 win over Western at home. The win was nothing new for Anaheim as they're now sitting on five straight.
Leading Anaheim to victory were Aleah McGregor and Elise Marquez. McGregor scored 23 points, while Marquez scored 12 points along with eight assists and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McGregor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Merida, who scored four points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Anaheim pushed their record up to 19-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Western, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anaheim will challenge Magnolia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 564th, while Anaheim is ranked 81st). As for Western, they will head out on the road to take on Savanna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
