Softball Recap: Bainbridge Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Miller County, Bainbridge was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 18-11 margin over the Westover Patriots. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

Aubrey Williams was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Ja'Ziya Bradley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bainbridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westover only posted a batting average of .130.

Bainbridge is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Westover, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Bainbridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-4 defeat against Worth County on the 8th. As for Westover, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-9 victory against Calhoun County on the 6th.
