Josh Smith Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Arp got the W thanks in part to Josh Smith playing the best football he has all season. Smith rushed for 300 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 17.6 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (117.4). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run.
Arp is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers takes on Winona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Dalton Walker Delivers Best Performance of Season
Sadly, Dalton Walker posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Elkhart over Arp on Friday. Walker rushed for 260 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 34 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
Elkhart dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Walker and Elkhart will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winona at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Johnson Made His Presence Known in New Diana's 35-11 Win
New Diana picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Dejuan Johnson. Johnson was dynamite, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 98 yards and a touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
New Diana pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Johnson and New Diana will face off against Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Davis Came Up Big in Buffalo's 46-44 Loss
Buffalo had to settle for second on Friday, but Cole Davis sure wasn't going down easily. Davis was unstoppable, rushing for 150 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 195 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Buffalo is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Davis and Buffalo will face off against New Diana at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

New Diana Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Davyon Mapps
New Diana picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Davyon Mapps. Mapps' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.
On the year, Mapps has averaged 124.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 73.29 rushing yards per game.
