The 6-foot-4 shooting guard had a strong junior season, winning Philadelphia Catholic League MVP honors and being named a third team MaxPreps Junior All-American. Bethea averaged 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in conference play to help the Vikings (19-9) reach the PIAA Class 6A state semifinals.
Bethea finished 10th in the Nike EYBL in scoring, averaging 18.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest while shooting 49.8 percent from the field, 42.6 percent from 3-point range and 84.2 percent from the free throw line to lead Team Final to first place in the regular season standings with a record of 16-1.
Bethea recorded 20 or more points in seven games during EYBL action and piled up a season-high 34 points on 14 of 17 shooting in an 82-79 victory over AZ Unity back on April 30.
The top 20 prospect will look to lead Team Final to the Peach Jam title for the second time in the past three seasons next month.
