In what's become a running theme this season, the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Marana, posting a 70-37 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Tucson High Magnet School sure is getting used to it with their 14th in a row.
Tucson High Magnet School found their leader in underclassman Patrick Flores, who scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Flores has scored all season. Xavier Grajeda Cruz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tucson High Magnet School's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Marana, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tucson High Magnet School will take on Rincon/University at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rincon/University will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Tucson High Magnet School is ranked 22nd). As for Marana, they will play host again and welcome Sunnyside, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
