West is 2-8 against North since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will square off against the Stars at 4:00 p.m. North took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on West, who comes in off a win.
West took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against East Bakersfield by a score of 10-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Elliot Major spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ethan Estrada was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for West: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-16 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Camacho, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, North fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against South on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 6-5. The Stars have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
ALEJANDRO GALINDO made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
West's win bumped their record up to 6-17. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. West has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like North struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
West skirted past North 12-10 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
