After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chaparral, the Escondido Charter White Tigers were happy to have found some success on Friday. Everything went their way against Rock Academy as Escondido Charter made off with a 50-30 win. That's another feather in the cap for Escondido Charter, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Escondido Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Faith Grayson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Mowrey, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Rock Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adeline Hooper, who scored 9 points. Thereza Horugavye was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Escondido Charter's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Rock Academy, they bumped their record down to 5-2 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Escondido Charter will be playing at home against El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. El Cajon Valley is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
