Enterprise is 0-10 against Pleasant Valley since December of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Enterprise Hornets will head out to square off against the Pleasant Valley Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Enterprise is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Las Plumas by a score of 45-38.
Enterprise's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tianna Lowe led the charge by putting up 16 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine Ahart, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Valley waltzed into their game last Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over the Cougars. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Cougars are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Enterprise better focus on containing Aj Gambol and Ava Dunn as the pair were huge in Pleasant Valley's win. Gambol went 9-for-20 to rack up 24 points, while Dunn had six points along with 18 boards and four blocks. That's the most blocks Dunn has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nyah Fortune, who scored six points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.
Pleasant Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.
Enterprise's record now sits at 12-15. As for Pleasant Valley, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Enterprise has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Pleasant Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Enterprise was taken down by Pleasant Valley 65-31 when the teams last played on February 4th. Can Enterprise avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
