Basketball Recap: United Piles Up the Points Against Marion Center

United won the last time they faced Marion Center and things went their way on Monday too. The United Lions claimed a resounding 78-47 win over the Marion Center Stingers. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Several Stingers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kamden Rozier, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Rozier a new career-high in boards. Cameron Pack was another key player, putting up 13 points.

United pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.5 points. As for Marion Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. United and Cambria Heights will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. United knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Cambria Heights likes a good challenge. As for Marion Center, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Penns Manor at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
