In Monday's league contest, the host United Lions basketball team scored a big 78-47 triumph over the Marion Center Stingers.

The Lions (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA). The Highlanders go into the Heritage contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Cambria Heights smashed Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA), 40-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Stingers confront the Penns Manor Comets (Clymer, PA) in a Heritage contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Marion Center will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Comets go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 60-44 league win over Homer-Center (Homer City, PA).
