Given Mission College Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Santa Maria is ranked 428th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mission College Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lillie Parish out in front who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Gwen Nelson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Paso Robles has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Mission College Prep, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
