Baseball Recap: Modoc Extends Winning Streak to Three

Modoc made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Fall River, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Braves put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 15-4 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Modoc got a massive performance out of Trustin Thomas, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave Thomas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adin Benson, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Thomas wasn't the only one making solid contact: Modoc kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win was the third in a row for Modoc, bringing their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fall River, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Modoc will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
