Brantley County extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 9-11. As for Worth County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.
For Worth County's part, Colby Griffis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Griffis has posted since back in February of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Luke Rogers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Lyndon Worthy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
