North Smithfield proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 13) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Tolman Tigers. For the Northmen, this counts as revenge for the 10-2 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.
North Smithfield's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nick Tremblay, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Tremblay has hit this season.
